How It Began

It’s been quite a journey!

In 2011, my husband’s job moved us across the country, taking us away from my hometown in Arizona. We lived in Connecticut for about seven years before moving back to Arizona for a short time and then relocating to Nevada.

We arrived in Connecticut on New Year’s Day, and I became a stay-at-home mom to my three-year-old son, Owen. It’s hard to believe that Owen is now almost 17 and getting ready to enter his senior year of high school!

This was the first time I hadn’t worked outside the home in my adult life. Before I started crocheting, I spent about six years in the banking industry and then processed benefits and payroll for our family’s business for an additional four years.

Eventually, I opened my Etsy Shop. I started by selling hats and scarves and later added a few crochet patterns.

Writing crochet patterns was a significant learning curve, but I figured it out and have been sharing my designs ever since.

Over the years, my passion has evolved, and I now specialize in home decor. I create many beautiful items for the home, mainly baskets and planter covers.

Did I mention that I’m an avid houseplant and vintage Pyrex collector? I can’t get enough of them!

My Mission

I want my blog to be a beautiful platform for sharing my patterns with you. I may also share a home project here and there since many of you seem to enjoy that as well!

For those of you who prefer an ad-free, printable pattern, don’t worry – I will continue to offer my patterns as PDF downloads on Etsy, Ravelry, and LoveCrafts as a PDF download.

Additionally, nothing else is changing. My aim is to create a more appealing space to share my ideas, so you won’t have to search through my Instagram for information. I can’t wait to share it all with you!
