Yarn Suggestions For The Boho Crochet Hanging Planter Pod Pattern

The Boho Plant Pod Pattern is written using Bernat Maker (two strands held together). This is a size 5 bulky tube-style yarn. The colors shown are Cream and Clay.

Below are the suppliers I recommend:
Amazon or Like To Know It (LTK)

Note: Because Bernat Maker has stretch, the planters will stretch quite a bit depending on the weight of your pot. However, if you prefer something with more structure, see the alternative yarn options provided below.

Alternative Yarn Suggestions

The Boho Plant Pod Pattern was originally designed using a stretchy, tube-style yarn (Bernat Maker).

Because of the stretchiness, this yarn allows for greater flexibility in accommodating different pot sizes, as it can easily expand by a few inches.

Depending on the weight of the pot, the length of the planter may also stretch significantly.

Additionally, If you’re after a planter with more structure and less stretch, cotton yarn or macramé cording are great options. Plus, both will look beautiful.

Feel free to experiment with different types of yarn, but keep in mind that the gauge may vary, resulting in a smaller or larger finished product, depending on what you choose.

If you decide to change the yarn size for the project, be sure to adjust your hook size accordingly.

Sizing For The Boho Crochet Hanging Planter Pod Pattern
