The T-shirt Trivet & Coaster Crochet Pattern

T-Shirt Trivet & Coaster Set | Free Crochet Pattern

I had the privilege in collaborating with Irina at KnitzNPurlz on this fun crochet pattern, The T-Shirt Trivet & Coaster Set. Irina, the owner of KnitzNPurlz, so graciously sent me the beautiful t-shirt yarn used in this pattern. The yarn is 100% cotton and made in the USA. Irina specializes in t-shirt yarns, but also has a blog full of free crochet patterns, specific to her yarn.

One of my favorite yarns to work with are T-shirt yarns. I love the sturdiness that it offers for bowls, baskets, and planters. It also has a nice thick texture and absorbs well, which makes it the perfect material for trivets and coasters. I love crocheting useful items like this, for my home, they’re something I enjoy using everyday, but they look pretty too!

The pattern is rated advanced beginner. It’s a great project to start if you’re just learning to work in the round. It uses very basic stitches, and you’ll see very quick results.

Thank you Irina for providing the beautiful yarn for this project!

Sizing

The pattern includes two sizes:

Coaster diameter measures approximately 4.5″
Trivet diameter measures approximately 7.75″ (not including handle), 9.5″ including handle
