I had the privilege of collaborating with Irina at KnitzNPurlz on this fun and functional crochet pattern, The T-Shirt Trivet & Coaster Set. Irina generously provided the beautiful t-shirt yarn used for this project. Her yarn is 100% cotton, made in the USA, and perfect for sturdy home decor projects like trivets, baskets, and coasters.
One of my favorite things about working with t-shirt yarn is the thick texture and durability it creates. It absorbs heat well, making it an excellent choice for practical kitchen crochet projects that are both useful and beautiful.
This crochet pattern is rated advanced beginner and is a great project for learning how to work in the round. The pattern uses simple stitches, works up quickly, and makes a lovely handmade addition to your kitchen or a thoughtful gift idea.

Yarn Suggestions For The T-Shirt Trivet & Coaster Set
This pattern was made using KnitzNPurlz T-Shirt Yarn, a soft and durable 100% cotton t-shirt yarn made in the USA. The thick texture creates sturdy trivets and coasters that hold their shape beautifully while adding a modern touch to your kitchen decor.
T-shirt yarn can vary slightly in thickness depending on the material used, so your finished size may vary a bit between colors or brands.
If substituting yarn, look for a sturdy cotton t-shirt yarn with similar thickness for best results.
Below is the exact yarn I use:
