Crochet scarf patterns are the perfect project for Fall and Winter, and The Chunky Vee scarf is no exception! The pattern forms a continuous loop, and the special V stitch gives it a nice trendy look. The pattern is rated easy, and once you get the V-stitch pattern down, it’s a quick crochet project that works up in only a few hours.
I love using super chunky yarns when making scarves, as they work up fast, but they’re also warm and cozy, and make great heartfelt gifts. The great thing about this scarf is, the size is easy to customize by making a few small adjustments, which are outlined below.

The pattern instructions are written using super bulky yarn.
The photo shown was made with Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick in the color Claret.
Sizing
The scarf instructions fit an average teen or adult. It measures approximately 56” circumference with an 8” depth. The size of the scarf can easily be adjusted to any length or depth by following the changes outlined below:
Adjusting Circumference/Length – add or subtract beginning foundation double crochet or chains (in multiples of two).
Adjusting Depth – add or subtract rounds, where noted in the pattern below.
