#1 – The Boxy Basket | Square Crochet Basket Pattern

First up is The Square Crochet Basket Pattern, aka, The Boxy Basket. Included in the pattern is a set of three nesting baskets that are square shaped, with a slightly round opening.
The combination of The Herringbone Half Double Crochet Stitch, paired with some simple crochet techniques, gives this Square Crochet Basket Pattern, a beautiful, modern design, that not only looks stylish. but is also practical.
The Boxy Basket is rated intermediate, and calls for Bernat Maker (two strands held together) or Cover Story™ Lazy Days Thick & Quick® Yarn (one strand). I love these yarns. They’re a tube style yarn, and have a ton of amazing colors to choose from!

Using only half double and single crochet stitches, this pattern is perfect for advanced beginners. The pattern creates a set of three sizes that fit snugly within each other. The clever design offers functionality and style, to organize your space efficiently.
Included in the pattern is the option to add a handle. The basket can sit on a flat surface, or be hung on a hook to hold odd and ends. I love the hook option, as it holds a plant perfectly.
The pattern calls for Bernat Maker (two strands held together). Pictured is the color cream.
