Yarn

The Crochet Flat Bottom Basket Pattern is written using Bernat Maker (two strands held together). This is a size 5, bulky, tube style yarn made of cotton on the outside and nylon in the center of the tube.

I love Bernat Maker, they recently re-branded and have a bunch of new colors! It has a tendency to sell out often, so I recommend stocking up. The skeins are very large, so I feel like you get a lot for the price.

Single Crochet Two Together (sc2tog)
Insert hook into stitch and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next stitch and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook.

Treble or Triple Crochet (tr)
Yarn over twice, insert hook into stitch and draw up a loop (4 loops on hook), yarn over pull through first two loops on hook, yarn over again and pull through next 2 loops on hook, yarn over pull through last two loops on hook.
