Tags for Spring and Easter Crochet Items
Before we jump into the 12 Free Spring and Easter Crochet Patterns, I want to quickly highlight something I get asked about often: my favorite tags and embellishments!
Adding wooden tags or leather screw-on labels is one of my favorite ways to elevate a crochet project. Many of the spring and Easter crochet patterns in this roundup really stand out because of these little finishing touches.
I put together a full blog post that breaks down every type of tag I use. You can find the detailed guide here. But here’s a quick overview:
– The vegan leather tags (shown below) are from Savlabot.
– The Ultrasuede and wooden custom logo tags that I use on my non-seasonal items are from Angie & Britt & Grain Deep. Both shops offer some fun seasonal tag designs too.
You’ll find more pattern specific info and suggestions as you go through the list below.

NEW Spring Crochet Patterns for 2026
#1 & #2 | The Sherpa Bunny & Fluffy Chick Patterns
First up are two of my newest designs this year. The Sherpa Bunny and Fluffy Chick make the perfect Easter duo! They’re made to be a decorative piece, have a weighted base, and look adorable displayed on a shelf, decorative tray, or table-top.
The Fluffy Chick Crochet Pattern is written using size 5 chunky yarn (two strands held together). I recommend Lion Brand Feels Like Bliss.
The Decorative Crochet Bunny pattern is written using Size 7 Jumbo yarn. I recommend Lion Brand Go For Fleece Sherpa.
For the accent colors I used a small amount of Lion Brand Made With Love – The Cotton One. Any worsted weight yarn will work well for these details.

Crochet Easter Basket Patterns
#3 & #4 | The Jumbo and Lil Crochet Bunny Basket Patterns
Next up are two of my favorites! The Jumbo Crochet Bunny Basket Pattern and it’s sibling the Lil Bunny Basket Crochet Pattern.
The jumbo size makes the perfect Easter basket, whereas the Lil Bunny Baskets are more decorative and make the perfect display on a cute tray or shelf filled with flowers or candy.
The Jumbo Bunny Basket is worked in the round using Bernat® Blanket Extra Thick™ Yarn. Aside from the cute, furry tail, the pattern is worked in one continuous piece, with no fastening off for the ears!!
Bernat® Blanket Extra Thick™ Yarn can also be found under the name Bernat Blanket Big. I used the color, Vintage White.
The Lil Bunny Basket Crochet Pattern uses size 6 super bulky yarn (two strands held together). I prefer Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick.
I used Lion Brand Go For Faux in the colors Husky and Baked Alaska for the tails.

#5 | The Crochet Carrot Basket Pattern
Number 5 in the line-up is the Crochet Carrot Basket Pattern! This one is a quick project to work on this Spring and comes in three fun sizes!
The Crochet Carrot Basket Pattern is rated intermediate and written using size 6 super bulky yarn. I prefer Bernat Blanket & Bernat Baby Blanket Yarn.
The pattern has a slightly more advanced color change method, so If you’re new to color changes, this is a great project to start practicing more challenging projects. The carrots are made with a fun bobble stitch.

#6 | The Mini Color Block Basket Pattern
#6 in the line-up, The Mini Crochet Color Block Basket is another pattern you can use for any season, but I love the idea of using a bright color as an Easter basket.
This basket is perfect for a teen, neighbor, or teacher to fill with Easter goodies. Then, they’ll have a fantastic basket to display and use year-round!
This fabulous fluffy yarn is Bernat® Blanket Extra Thick™ Yarn in Vintage White and Gold. Bernat® Blanket Extra Thick™ Yarn can also be found under the name Bernat Blanket Big.

#7 | The Doorknob Hanging Basket
Next in the spring and Easter crochet pattern line-up is The Doorknob Hanging Basket Pattern. I love this pattern as an Easter basket alternative, but it can also double as a storage basket or a cute planter for Spring.
Imagine your teen waking up to a cute basket like this, hanging on their doorknob, filled with Easter goodies!! It then doubles as a cute storage basket for them all year. I especially love it for older kids living in a dorm with little storage space. The options are endless on this pattern!
The Doorknob Hanging Basket crochet pattern uses size 6 super bulky yarn. I prefer Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick, which is shown in Fossil.

Crochet Easter Decor
#8 | The Crochet Bunny Garland Pattern
I’ve been having so much fun making garlands lately, and the Crochet Bunny Garland Pattern makes the perfect decorative piece to add to your mantle or mirror this Easter!
The Crochet Bunny Garland is an advanced beginner project that can be completed quickly with a few basic crochet stitches. We’ll work in the round and learn a fun decrease method.
The garland uses size 6 super bulky yarn. I prefer Bernat Blanket & Bernat Baby Blanket Yarn.

#9 | The Crochet Bunny Wreath Pattern
I don’t know what screams spring and Easter more than The Crochet Bunny Wreath Pattern!
If you haven’t tried crocheting around a wreath form yet, you must. It’s so easy, and the results are amazing.
My favorite yarn for wreaths is super bulky or jumbo roving yarn, and I especially love Mainstays Roving Yarn from Walmart in off-white.

Crochet Spring Decor
#10 & #11 – The Picot & Tulip Placemat and Doily Patterns
Next in line for a fun Easter place settings that can easily transition over to spring, and even summer, are the Picot and Tulip Placemat and Doily patterns.
Although it’s not specific to Easter, I love these designs for creating a beautiful seasonal tablescape. Changing the surrounding accessories and linens will easily take this table setting from Easter to spring, and then summer. The two patterns also look stunning displayed together.
Both placemat and doily patterns use size 6 super bulky yarn. I prefer Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick, Lion Brand Cover Story™ Lazy Days Thick & Quick® or Bernat Maker (two strands held together).

#12 | Easy Spring Crochet Wreath
Last in the Easter and Spring Crochet pattern round-up is and Easy Spring Crochet Wreath.
Wreaths are such a fun and easy item to crochet, and the embellishments can be switched out for each season. I love to use simply, bright flowers and greenery for spring, that can easily transition over to summer.
