Before we jump into the 10 Quick & Easy Valentine Crochet Patterns, I want to quickly highlight something I get asked about all the time: my tags and embellishments!
Adding wooden tags or leather screw-on labels is one of my favorite ways to elevate a crochet project. Many of the Easy Valentine Crochet Patterns in this roundup really stand out because of these little finishing touches.
I put together a full blog post that breaks down every type of tag I use. You can find the detailed guide here. But here’s a quick overview:
– The vegan leather tags (shown below) are from Savlabot.
– The Ultrasuede and wooden custom logo tags that I use on my non-seasonal items are from Angie & Britt & Grain Deep. Both shops also offer some fun seasonal tag designs too.
You’ll also find more pattern specific info and suggestions as you go through the list below.

#1 – The Trinket Tray – Small Crochet Basket Pattern

First up in the Valentine’s Day crochet patterns round-up is the Trinket Tray. This small crochet basket pattern has been a fan favorite this season.
Not only does the pattern work up in about half an hour, it can be used to hold jewelry and trinkets, as a coaster or mug rug, and also as a decorative candle holder.

The pattern calls for Lion Brand Cover Story Lazy Days Thick & Quick or Bernat Maker, two strands held together.
The cute vegan leather tags are from Savlabot.
#2 – The Braided Puff Crochet Blanket

Another new pattern, next is The Braided Puff Crochet Blanket. This pattern comes in baby and throw sizes and works up quickly using super bulky yarn.
The pattern’s unique design forms subtle heart-like shapes, making it an ideal gift for babies and loved ones, especially around Valentine’s Day!
The pattern calls for Bernat Blanket & Bernat Baby Blanket Yarn.
The cute vegan leather tags are from Savlabot.
#3 – The Puffy Heart Crochet Basket Pattern

Next up in the easy Valentine crochet patterns round-up, is the Puffy Heart Crochet Basket Pattern.
The pattern creates a fun heart shaped design using a puff stitch and is worked in the round. It’s available in three fun sizes which includes my favorite, a beautiful tray!
The pattern calls for Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick. Pictured are the color Cranberry, Potion, and Rouge.
The cute vegan leather tags are from Savlabot.
#4 – The String Of Hearts Crochet Garland Pattern

Fourth in line is a cute decorative Valentine’s Day Crochet Pattern, the String Of Hearts Garland.
I love the ease of this project. It features my one round heart pattern, works up quickly to create the cutest garland to string around your mantle or mirror. This pattern is completely customizable to any size.
The pattern calls for Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick. Pictured are the colors Cranberry, Fisherman, Potion, and Rouge.
# 5 – The Crochet Pixie Hat Pattern

Next up, from the 10 easy Valentine crochet patterns, is the Pixie Hat Pattern.
This is one of my original crochet patterns and has been completely revamped to include more photos and a full video tutorial.
Another advanced beginner pattern, this one is worked all in rows, and seamed up to create the cute pixie shape. It comes in a child and adult size.
My go to yarn is Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick. The colors pictured are Cranberry, Raspberry, and Wheat.
#6 – Crochet Heart Coaster and Hot Pad Set

Sixth is the Crochet Heart Coaster and Hot Pad Set.
The pattern is rated advanced beginner and comes in two sizes. It uses round one of my popular crochet heart pattern, to create a cute Valentine’s Day themed coaster and hot pad!
The Crochet Heart Coaster and Hot Pad Set is written using size 3, light weight, 100% cotton yarn (4 strands held together). Using the four strands held together makes the coaster and hot pad extra thick, to help absorb heat and moisture.
I used K+C Essential Cotton Yarn (from JOANN) in the colors Rose Garden and Cream. Since this yarn is now discontinued, any 100% cotton yarn should be fine. If it’s worsted weight you will only need three strands held together.
The cute vegan leather tags are from Savlabot.
#7 – Crochet Planter Pattern | The Posh Planter

The Posh Planter is #7 in the easy Valentine crochet patterns round-up!
If you enjoy plants, this one is for you! The cute crochet planter has an adorable heart attached, to create a cute piece of seasonal Valentine’s Day decor to your home. Just add a cute plant to finish it off.
The pattern is worked in the round, using the waistcoat stitch, and is another advanced beginner pattern, using Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick. The colors shown are Fisherman, Cranberry, Potion, and Rouge.
The cute vegan leather tags are from Savlabot.
#8 – Crochet Heart Dish Scrubby

We’re on pattern #8, the Crochet Heart Dish Scrubby.
This is such a fun design to give as a Valentine’s Day gift! It takes my basic heart pattern and scrubby yarn to create the perfect little holiday themed dish scrubby!
The pattern calls for two strands of Red Heart Scrubby Stripes Yarn in the color Peachy. I made four scrubbies out of one skein.
For the cute packaging, I used 4″x4″ clear cellophane bags and printed out sticker labels through Avery online. Avery has a bunch of pre-made designs to choose from, but you can also create your own. I used round label size 22807 and printed them at home.
#9 – Crochet Heart Garland

Pattern #9 is the Crochet Heart Garland Pattern.
Another quick and easy garland pattern featuring my crochet heart pattern. This one also includes two additional crochet garland strands to complete the look.
The Crochet Heart Garland is rated advanced beginner and is customizable to any length.
The pattern is written using size 6 super bulky yarn I used Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick in the colors Cranberry and Starlight.
The variegated strand is a JOANN exclusive called Big Twist Winter.
#10 – Mini Crochet Color Block Basket

Last up in the 10 Quick & Easy Valentine Crochet Patterns You’ll Love, is the Mini Crochet Color Block Basket.
This pattern is worked up using size 7 jumbo yarn. I partnered with JOANN and used Bernat® Blanket Extra Thick™ Yarn. Although, JOANN is now out of business, you can still find this yarn directly through Yarnspirations and other online suppliers. The colors shown are Vintage White and Clay.
This is such a cute basket to fill with goodies for Valentine’s Day, such as The Crochet Heart Coaster and these cute towels from Crae Home.
Crae Home is a small, US based business, founded by two moms. They’re amazing!! Made with a high absorbent waffle weave Microfiber, that not only look great, but work great too! Grab some now and get 10% off, discount will be reflected in the cart!!
