How to Crochet the Special Stitches for This Pattern
- Treble or Triple Crochet (tr): Yarn over twice, insert hook into stitch and draw up a loop (4 loops on hook), yarn over, pull through first two loops on hook, yarn over again and pull through next 2 loops on hook, yarn over, pull through last two loops on hook.
- Chain Two Picot (ch2p): Chain two, slip stitch in back hump of second chain from hook – one picot created.
- Invisible Join: After completing the last stitch of the round, fasten off. With a tapestry needle, skip the 1st stitch of the round and weave the tail under both loops of the 2nd stitch to create a false stitch. Then weave the tail through the back loop of the last stitch of the round. Weave in ends.

- Use two strands held together.
- The pattern is worked in continuous rnds unless otherwise noted. Do not join at the end of each rnd. Mark the 1st st of each rnd with a st marker.
- Beg chs do not count as a st.
Pumpkin Instructions – Color A
Rnd 1. Create a magic circle, ch2, work 10hdc in the circle. (10hdc) Close magic circle tightly and weave in beg tail.
Rnd 2. 2hdc in each st around. (20hdc)
Rnd 3. *2sc in next st, sc in next st, [2dc in next st, dc in next st]4x*, repeat from * to * once more. (30sts)
Rnd 4. *2sc in next st, sc in next 2sts, [2dc in next st, dc in next 2sts]4x*, repeat from * to * once more. Finish with invisible join. (40sts)
Leaves (Color B)
- Attach Color B in 2nd st of Rnd 4 by inserting hook into the st and pulling up a loop.
- Ch2, in same st work a (dc, 2tr, ch2p, 2tr, dc, ch2, slst) to form 1st leaf.
- In the next st, work a (slst, ch2, 2dc, ch2p, 2dc, ch2, slst) to form 2nd leaf.
- Fasten off and weave in ends securely.
