Two Patterns In One Project

One of my favorite things about this Crochet Pumpkin With Witch Hat is that it’s actually created by combining two of my existing patterns.

The base pumpkin is made using size small of my One Stitch Adjustable Pumpkin Pattern, which is a quick and advanced beginner friendly design that gives you a perfect pumpkin every time!

For the hat, I used my Crochet Witch Hat Garland Pattern, which works beautifully on its own as festive Halloween garland, but also makes the perfect accessory when paired with the pumpkin.

By bringing these two patterns together, you get an entirely new project – a whimsical pumpkin witch that can be customized in endless ways.

How To Style Your Crochet Pumpkin With Witch Hat

Below is an example of how I styled the Crochet Pumpkin With Witch Hat.

This little pumpkin with can be tucked onto a shelf, nestled into a fall mantel arrangement, or added to a decorative tray alongside candles and other seasonal decor.

You can mix and match it with other pumpkins, garlands, or Halloween accents to create a cozy, handmade touch of fall anywhere in your home.

Yarn Suggestions For The Crochet Pumpkin With Witch Hat

The Crochet Pumpkin With Witch Hat is crocheted with Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick. This is a size 6, super bulky yarn. The colors shown are Black and Spice.

Below are additional suppliers I recommend:

Lion Brand Yarn
Amazon or Like To Know It (LTK)

Yarn Alternatives

Feel free to experiment with different size 6 yarns or two strands of size 5 yarn held together, but please note the gauge may turn out slightly smaller or larger depending on the yarn you use.

If you change the yarn size of the project, be sure to adjust your hook size accordingly; you don’t want large gaps in your hat or pumpkin.

Embellishments For The Crochet Pumpkin With Witch Hat

Get creative with your embellishments!

For The Crochet Pumpkin With Witch Hat shown below, I used a mix of ribbons and seasonal floral picks. You can easily snip the individual flowers and leaves off larger picks with wire cutters, and then attach them with hot glue.

Most of the embellishments I used are from Michaels, but you can find similar options at most craft stores or online at Amazon, Walmart, Michael’s, etc. You can shop my LTK affiliate link here.

– The vegan leather leaves and wooden tags (shown below) are from Savlabot on Etsy. I wrote a full blog post all about the different crochet tags I use. The full post can be found here.
