#1 – Summer Crochet Projects | Crochet Towel Holders (A Best Seller)

Kick off your summer market booth with a crochet fan favorite: Crochet Towel Holders!
These are always a hit, and for good reason!
Towel holders are among the best choices for quick turnover at craft markets. They’re fast to make (less than 30 minutes, I’ve gotten mine down to about 15 minutes!!), and they’re stylish and functional.
Pair one with a cute seasonal towel, red, white, and blue, or American-themed decor. This is especially popular right now, and you have the perfect handmade set that’s sure to fly off your shelves!
The pattern calls for Bernat Maker (two strands held together). I love this yarn and use it often; it’s soft, durable, and works up beautifully.
For towels, I recommend Crae Home, a small business founded by two moms.
Their towels are amazing—made with a high-absorbent waffle weave Microfiber that looks great and works great!
Grab some now and get 10% off, discount will be reflected in the cart!!
New: The Crochet Towel Holder pattern now includes a button closure option. This is perfect if you can’t fit a ring between your towel bar and appliance handle.

# 2 – Crochet Hot Pads & Coasters

Next up in this roundup of Easy Summer Crochet Projects: Hot Pads and Coasters!
These are the ultimate quick-makes, usually taking 30 minutes or less to whip up. This makes them a perfect choice for last-minute prep or restocking before a busy market.
Moreover, they use a small amount of yarn. This keeps costs low and profits high. It is a win-win for you and your customers.
Plus, they’re practical all year round, no matter the season.
Switch up your color choices to match holidays and seasonal vibes, and consider bundling them into sets:
- 2-3 coasters tied with twine
- Or a hot pad paired with coordinating coasters—perfect for gift baskets or stocking stuffers.
Pro Tip: For heat-resistant projects like these, I recommend using 100% cotton yarn. It holds up well to high temperatures and washes easily.
The pattern featured above is made with KnitzNPurlz jumbo size 7 cotton t-shirt yarn. This yarn gives it extra thickness and durability.
Bonus Hot Pad & Coaster Pattern: You will also love The Crochet Heart Coaster & Hot Pad Set!
Originally designed for Valentine’s Day, this pattern easily transforms into a fun summer seller. Just swap the classic pinks for bright, vibrant rainbow hues.

# 3 – Crochet Dish Scrubbies

3rd on the list of Easy Summer Crochet Projects: Dish Scrubbies!
These are super quick to make. It usually takes just 15-20 minutes each. This makes them perfect for market prep or batching in bulk.
This pattern was initially designed for Valentine’s Day, but who doesn’t love a heart all year round? Just swap out pinks and reds for bright, cheerful summer colors.
Packaging Tip: Cute packaging can really boost your booth appeal. Here’s what I used:
- 4″x4″ clear cellophane bags
- Round Sticker labels (Avery 22807) printed at home using Avery online templates (you can choose from their pre-made designs or create your own)
Yarn notes: The original pattern was made using Red Heart Scrubby Stripes Yarn (2 strands held together). But, for a colorful upgrade, I found Scrub-ology from Hobby Lobby, which comes in various bright shades!
- If using Scrub-ology, follow the pattern as is, but with just one strand of yarn (scrubby shown in photo at the bottom).
- If you’d rather double up, hold two strands held together and complete Round 1 only of the original pattern (scrubby shown in photo at the top).
# 4 – Small Crochet Doilies

Next on the list of Easy Summer Crochet Projects: Doilies!
My newest design, The Tulip Placemat & Doily Set, features a fun tulip-inspored color-change technique that’s perfect for summer.
The set includes two sizes, but the mini version is ideal for craft markets. It works up quickly and makes the perfect decorative base for houseplants, candles, or other small home accents.
And let’s be honest—plant accessories are hot sellers at summer markets!
My go-to yarns are
- Lion Brand Cover Story™ Lazy Days Thick & Quick®
- Bernat Maker (two strands held together)
Pro tip: Switch to 100% cotton yarn and use multiple strands held together to meet the pattern gauge, and you’ll have a sturdy trivet or hot pad!
#5 – Baskets

Number 5 on the list of Easy Summer Crochet Projects: Baskets!
Baskets are one of my top recommended sellers for market booths. I mean, who doesn’t love a good basket?
They’re endlessly useful and make the perfect stash buster. Shoppers love using them for:
- Organizing
- Home decor
- Planters
- Trinkets, jewelry, keys, you name it!
I’ve got over 12 FREE basket patterns on the blog in almost every size you can imagine.
If you’re short on time, use the mini and small sizes—they work up in about 30 minutes or less and are perfect for small items.
Do you have a bit more time? The larger baskets and trays take around 45 minutes to make and double as decorative yet functional home accents.
Pro tip: Create a few pre-filled gift baskets with other small crochet items. It helps shoppers visualize gift ideas and can boost your sales!
Bonus: Some of my nesting basket sets can even double as fun toddler stacking toys.
Don’t have time to make the full set? Stick to the three smaller sizes—they’re adorable and super versatile!

#6 – Summer Crochet Projects | Crochet Planters

Next up: crochet planters—a summer market must-have!
Anything plant-related is a top seller at craft markets this time of year.
Planters are quick to make, require minimal yarn, and make a huge impact, especially if you pair them with a cute potted plant or some faux greenery.
They instantly become a thoughtful gift or a stylish piece of home decor!
Bonus: I even have a complete Faux Plant Guide to help you pick the perfect greenery to pair with your crochet planters.

You can find four unique crochet planter patterns on my blog, each with its own unique style:
The Boho Crochet Hanging Planter Pod Pattern
The Posh Planter Pattern
The Pirouette Planter Pattern
The Lemon Peel Planter Pattern
Tip: Many of the basket patterns mentioned earlier can also double as planters—just another way to maximize your market prep!
#7 – Small Crochet Accessories

Another great option – small crochet accessories!
Summer is all about cute sunglasses and stylish outfits— so why not pair them with a handmade cross-body bag or a colorful glasses case?
These small accessories are eye-catching, functional, and perfect for shoppers looking for something unique.
While these projects are a little more time-consuming (45 minutes to an hour), they’re definitely worth every stitch. They’ll help your booth stand out by adding that pop of color that draws people in.
They’re also great stash-busters!
My go-to yarns for these projects are:
Both yarns offer vibrant colors that are ideal for summer accessories.
